Bryant has a baseball game today. It is his first because he wasn't going to play and then he just couldn't stand it. I am really glad. He has so much natural ability. I can see how it is said that parents live through their children's lives. Of course I do...I have ten! It is hard work to try to be Mom, Friend, Grandma, (and sometimes Dad) and not live through them. My family comes first but I spend a lot of time working. Sometimes I dream of not having to work. I have a list of things to accomplish if that happens. Unfortunately, I am not super person. I have a friend, Tamlee, (not to mention names) that is super person. I envy all that she gets done.
I had to postpone my audit. It is stressful to prepare and then to have the field tests and then the report. I still have to keep up with everything else even though I have an audit. I have a great board of directors and good maintenance help.
I finished my newsletter Not to much in it but it did look good. It is my turn to teach RS this Sunday. We are discussing Elder Scott's talk from the Nov. 09 Priesthood session. "Honor the Priesthood and use it well." I thought he addressed some of my experiences really well.
My oldest granddaughter is twelve! Wow. I went to look at her facebook and she looks so grown up. Look out Jared and Havi...She is a looker. Caleb, her brother, also has a facebook. He is quite the athlete. I am loving being a grandma.! Jared and Havi are amazing parents.
Jon and Maritza had a doctor appointment and my number 20 granddaughter is growing. Ultrasounds are super. July...It has been a while since we have had a baby girl so we are thinking pink! I am so glad that they live close. I hope that they will let me visit. They are both working and I think that Jon will change shifts. They will juggle schedules but make it work.
Jade took Max in for his annual checkup. Shots and everything. He is looking good. My dad is so proud of him. A little namesake. I don't know how Jade finds time to do everything. She has been helping with Matt's blog and is substitute teaching on the side. Wow. I get to see Josh once in a while when he is in the neighborhood.
Steven told me that Colton has had chicken pox. I know I have a picture of Steven and Becky when they were covered in spots. I think he will laugh. I have got to find out if he likes cubscouts. Lori is a very busy mom. I am glad that Steven doesn't mind the graveyard shift and that he loves to be with the kids. My kids and their spouses are so much better at parenting than I was. Lucky grandkids.
Kristin has had her hands full this past week. Spring break and Kilee has been sick and has had trouble with a tendon in her foot. She loves soccer so this is hard for her. It is a busy time for Derek (he is a CPA). I haven't seen their family for a while so I am really lonesome for them. I ave talked to them but that isn't the same.
Becky is busy with Alli, Madi, and Eric. Eric will be graduating soon. They put Allison in a Charter School. It is awesome that they have so many choices in Provo. Becky always makes me laugh with the fun stories she shares with me I hope to go to graduation in Provo.
Janna, Josi, and Levi came to visit a few weeks ago. I loved having them here. Kids say and do the funniest things. She is a busy mom. She is also Primary President. You know how hard that would be. Aaron didn't get to come this time because he was working. I love it when all my family can get together. It is so much fun to watch the interaction and see the grandkids playing.
I haven't seen Bethany for a while. Wes helped change a flat tire on Janna's car. She is working on her degree and still working at the Mercantile. Look out world!
I think that brings me to my Elder. My heart is a bit tender. I look at pictures and I do miss him. Thank goodness for email and letters. For the great support of kids and friends. He is doing good. He is serving in the Bronx right now. A lot can happen in two years. In a city that big just think of all the people he will influence and come into contact with. Who would have ever thought that a country boy would end up in one of the biggest cities in the world.
The drain project is finished and Byron has been working on the circles. He is under pressure to finish because it is getting late and time to irrigate and soon the asparagus will be growing. What a huge undertaking.
My sister Sandy was here yesterday. We had a great visit. She got home late. I imagine her husband is not happy with me. I guess I will have to give asparagus to him.
My mom and dad are doing good. They went to the doctor yesterday. I think they look better than they have in a while. I guess my dad doesn't want to take his medicine anymore. I guess it is killing him...just kidding. He is 87 almost 88.
This is going to be a great day. I will post pictures later.
